Josh received his BS from Murray State University in 2006, majoring in Computer Science and Mathematics. He went on to attend the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, earning his MS in Computer Science in 2009. In the Fall of 2009, Josh began working towards a PhD in Biomedical Informatics from Vanderbilt University.
