Zeqiang Ma graduated from East China Normal University in May 2001 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry. In 2006, He began his graduate studies in Vanderbilt University Interdisciplinary Graduate Program (IGP), and then transferred to Department of Biomedical Informatics in 2008. He completed his Masters work in August 2009 and is working on his PhD project under the direction of David L. Tabb, PhD.

Research interests: Includes the development of novel algorithms for proteomics data analysis, especially new methods and software to improve peptide identification, evaluate mass spectral quality, and identify mutated or modified peptide sequences.
