Taneya Koonce completed her undergraduate education in 1997 at Emory University, earning a B.S. in Biology and B.A. in Religion. She earned her Masters of Library Science degree in 1999 at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Following her graduate degree, Taneya was selected by the National Library of Medicine into their Associate Fellowship Program. During the second year of the fellowship program, she came to the Eskind Biomedical Library, becoming a permanent member of the staff in 2001. While she pursues a MPH degree from Vanderbilt's School of Public Health under the primary mentorship of Dr. Nunzia Giuse, Taneya's research interests will focus on examining information delivery techniques for emergency medicine patients with hypertension.
