Dr. Holt received his undergraduate degree in Biology from Fitchburg State College in 1995 and his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from The University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2002.
He completed a traditional osteopathic rotating internship at Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester, Massachusetts then completed his Internal Medicine residency at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in San Francisco, California followed by a Clinical Medical Genetics Fellowship at the University of California at San Francisco. His clinical experiences include: working in the field of pre-hospital emergency medicine as a EMT-Paramedic, as a hospitalist, a primary care physician and as a clinical medical geneticist.
He joined the department of Biomedical Informatics as a National Library of Medicine Post-doctoral fellow in 2009.
His research interests involves utilizing Family Health Information for clinical decision-making, including the practice of evidence-based, personalized and preventative medicine. His research mentor is Dan Masys, M.D.
