Dr. Shilo Anders is a NLM Post-doctoral Fellow at Vanderbilt University. She received her doctoral degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the Ohio State University and a Masters in Experimental and Human Factors Psychology from the University of Dayton. Prior to coming to Vanderbilt, her research focused on applying human factors research to investigate issues and improve system performance in information analysis, data overload, predictive analysis, and adaptive capacity in both military and healthcare. She is interested in research on system design specifically related to human-technology interaction in complex systems, individual and team performance issues, and how to improve patient safety and quality.

Shilo works with the Department of Biomedical Informatics and the Center for Perioperative Research in Quality. Her mentor is Matthew Weinger, MD.
