NLM Training Grant

The department of Biomedical Informatics has a National Library of Medicine Training Grant that supports:

  • Predoctoral Ph.D. Degree Students
  • Postdoctoral M.S. and Ph.D. Degree Students
  • Postdoctoral Nondegree Fellowships
  • Medical Students (short-term internships)
  • Undergraduate Students with an interest in biomedical informatics (short-term internships)

Eligibility: The training grant supports citizens, Non-Citizen Nationals of the US, or lawfully admitted permanent residents

Funding: The pre-doctoral funding level is determined by the student’s background (academic and professional-level experience). The post-doctoral funding level is determined by the number of years of professional post-doctoral experience that are relevant to the biomedical informatics field. For medical and undergraduate students funding level is at the same level as for pre-doctoral students.
